Info for December's Children (And Everybody's)

The Rolling Stone's December's Children (and Everybody's) album was the start of a brand new era: a transitional album for the band, making the move from the R'n'B and covers they'd become famous for towards the beginnings of what was their very own trademark sound.

Recorded in a series of one and two day sessions between 1963 and 1965, the Stones' December's Children (and Everybody's) album featured the singles 'Get Off Of My Cloud', a response to their sudden popularity after 'Satisfaction' and 'As Tears Go By', which was also a hit for Marianne Faithfull.

Both tracks were some of the first penned by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Elsewhere, the album charts a foot in two camps, moving forward with the folk- rockish 'The Singer Not The Song' while a superlative cover of Chuck Berry's 'Talkin' About You' continues their covers tradition.
