Adélaïde Ferrière
An internationally renowned concert performer, Adélaïde Ferrière has been described as ‘a phenomenon’ by Le Monde newspaper and has already performed in more than thirty countries around the world.
She has appeared on renowned stages such as the Philharmonie de Paris, the Auditorium de Radio-France, the Salzburg Mozarteum, the Comédie Française, the Opéra National de Paris, the Seine Musicale, the Teatro Argentina in Rome, the Snow Concert Hall in Canberra, the Atatürk Opera Hall in Istanbul, the Brno Philharmonie, the Greek National Opera, the Tokyo New National Theater, the Auditorium Rainier III in Monaco, the Epidaurus Theater, the Salzburger Festspiele, the Festival Présences, Un Violon sur le Sable, Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo, Festival d’Automne, Festival de Pâques, Festival Berlioz, Festival Ravel, Filarmonica Romana Season, and more.
She has collaborated as a soloist with over thirty orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de chambre de Paris, the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Lorraine, the Latvian Chamber Orchestra, the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestre de chambre Nouvelle-Aquitaine, under the baton of Matthias Pintscher, Sir George Benjamin, Holly Choe, Adrian Prabava, Adrien Perruchon, Joseph Bastian, and Gergely Madaras, among others. In 2022, she was an associate artist with the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, then in 2024 with the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne.
In 2012, at the age of 15, Adélaïde joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she obtained her Master’s degree with honours in 2017. She also studied at the Royal College of Music in London in 2016.
In 2017, she was named ‘Révélation Soliste Instrumental’ at the 24th Victoires de la Musique Classique awards and became the first percussionist to be nominated at this ceremony.
In 2024, the musician took part in the Deutsche Grammophon label’s Rising Stars series and recorded two singles in the Musical Moments collection. She was also selected for the 2025-2027 programme of ‘Génération Spedidam Classique et Contemporain’. In December 2025, Adélaïde Ferrière was invited to perform at the prestigious Nobel Prize banquet at Stockholm City Hall, featuring a world premiere by Jacob Mühlrad.
In 2026, the percussionist was listed among Le Figaro’s 200 young leaders of tomorrow. She was then nominated in the ‘Soliste Instrumental’ category at the 33rd Victoires de la Musique Classique awards.
Deeply committed to the contemporary repertoire, the musician has participated in numerous world premieres and worked with composers of all generations, including Georges Aperghis, Noriko Baba, Philippe Hurel, Martin Matalon, Camille Pépin, Bastien David, Mikaël Karlsson, François Meïmoun, and many others.
Her first album, Contemporary, was released by the Evidence Classics label in 2020 and was critically acclaimed (Le Choix de France Musique, Joker Crescendo Découverte, Sélection Le Monde, Sélection Le Figaro, 4 **** BBC Music Magazine). She has also recorded for the labels Mirare (Messiaen: Des Canyons aux Étoiles), B records (Alliages / Trio Xenakis), Sony Classical (New York, Thibault Cauvin) and Présences Compositrices (Aether by Camille Pépin).
Her performances and interviews have been broadcast by Arte & Arte concert, Medici.tv, Stage+, CultureBox, Pathé live, France Télévisions, M6, TV5 Monde, Radio-France and Radio Classique.
Adélaïde Ferrière is a Yamaha and Kolberg Artist. She is supported by Adami, Spedidam, the Fondation Safran pour la musique, the Swiss Engelberts Foundation for Arts and Culture, and the Fondation Singer-Polignac, where she has been in residence with the Trio Xenakis, an associate artist since 2025.
