Dimitri Papadopoulos
was born in Princeton (USA) in 1985.

He studied music in France and Germany, where he obtained the highest diploms (1st prize CNSMD Lyon, class of Edson Elias, and Master of Professional Performance, Folkwang-Universität Essen, class of Arnulf von Arnim).

He obtained many prizes at international piano competitions in France (1st prize Saint-nom-la-Bretèche, 1st prize Vulaines-sur Seine, 1st prize Lagny-sur-Marne), in Italy (5th prize Senigallia, 2nd prize Incontro Internazionale Giovanni Pianisti Roma) and in Germany (1st Steinway Forderpreis 2010 Dusseldorf, 3rd prize Max Reger competition 2011).

Dimitri Papadopoulos is sponsored by French bank Société Générale, and German association DAAD.

To improve his piano understanding, he took regular master-classes with grand pianists such as Kristian Zimerman, Alicia de Larrocha, Sergei Maltzev, Dominique Merlet and Charles Rosen.

As a pianist, he performs regularly (solo, chamber music and Soloist with orchestra) in Europe( France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Danemark, Switzerland) ans USA. He played in festivals such as Klavierfestival Ruhr, Strasbourg festival, Young Talents Paris, Young Talents Athens, Nice, Toulouse les orgues, Menton, Festival de l'Epau, festival Pontino di Latina (Italy), Heraklion summer festival, Thy chamber music festival (Danemark), Giovanni artisti Cervo, ...

He plays regularly live on French radio "France Musique".

3 discs have been released: Haydn violin sonatas with MC Papadopoulos, Beethoven cello sonatas with cellist A. Vay (co-principal cellist at Munich Rundfunkorchester), and a disc recorded by the Bayerishe Rundfunk (Schubert, Ravel, Gerschwin).

He also teaches piano in Geneva Conservatory since 2014.
