Samira Spiegel
is one of the most unusual talents of her generation. She plays piano and violin and already impressed listeners with her twofold giftedness from an early age. Ms. Spiegel has won numerous prizes on both instruments at competitions in Germany and abroad. She has garnered many first prizes, for example at the international Clamo Piano Competition in Spain, the Franz Liszt Center Piano Competition or the Louis Spohr Violin Competition in Kassel, as well as being honored with a third prize at the Young Paganini Competition in Poland. Samira Spiegel holds a Keck Köppe Scholarship for Young Artists and a Steinway Scholarship and has been a winner of several prizes at the Münchner Klavierpodium. With her duo partner Nina Scheidmantel, she has won a scholarship from the Fischer Flach Competition in Würzburg. In 2018 Ms. Spiegel took part in the Kissingen Piano Olympics and in 2019 made her debut at the international Kissinger Sommer music festival. Concert tours have taken her throughout Germany and abroad. BR Klassik, Saarländischer Rundfunk, Bayern 2, OE1 ORF, SWR2, BR Television and TV Mainfranken have featured Samira Spiegel in their broadcasts. The young pianist and violinist was awarded a scholarship with the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation) as well as arteMusica Stiftung für Kunst und Kultur (arteMusica Foundation for Art and Culture) in Frankfurt. Samira Spiegel completed both her bachelor and master’s degrees with highest marks. She is currently completing postgraduate piano studies with Markus Schirmer in Graz, Austria and a solo violin performance degree with Eckhard Fischer in Detmold, Germany.
