Since their formation in 2010, The Independent Music Awards named these New York-based musicians as “Best Instrumentalists" for their recording of Victoria Bond’s 'Samba.' RighteousGIRLS recently took part in Vicky Chow’s “Contagious Sound Series” at the Cornelia Street Café, and have performed at venues and festivals including (Les) Poisson Rouge, Carnegie Hall, the Yamaha Piano Salon, Shapeshifter Lab, An Die Musik, Boheiman Caverns, the Jazz Standard, the Jazz Gallery, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Umbria Jazz Festival.

RighteousGIRLS also recently collaborated with composer Andy Akiho on an upcoming music video project to the title track on his debut album "NO one To kNOW one" for pierrot ensemble-- the video was recorded by film director Michael McQuilken at the"Original Music Workshop" in Brooklyn.
Recent commissions and performances include works by Andy Akiho, Ambrose Akinmusire, Victoria Bond, John Cage, Billy Childs, Vijay Iyer, Wolfgang Gernot, Judd Greenstein, David Lang, Bevan Manson, Ed Neumeister, Joseph Schwantner, and Randy Woolf.
