Leonardo Gallucci
Born in Rome in 1964. Experience guitar teacher with a long history of musical studies, started at an early age with Maestro Luigi Gallucci, then at “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome, with Maestro Carlo Carfagna, getting a first-class diploma with honours.
Specialized abroad attending courses with world-famous guitarists such as Eliot Fisk, Walter Abt, Manuel Guitierrez, Alvaro Pierri, Roland Dyens, Sharon Isbin.
Awards: 6th International Guitar Contest 1990 “S.A.R. LA INFANTA DONA CRISTINA”edited by FUNDACION GUERRERO in Madridseveral national contests joined the final in international contests.
Work Experience: Long experience as concert performer as soloist and chamber orchestra. Particularly remarkable the activity with Quartetto Chitarristico Romano (Roman Guitarist Quartet) and its performance of the first concert of Giuliani for guitar and orchestra and of the duo with Maestro Carlo Carfagna.
Arrangements of film music for four guitars for the International guitar festival in Belgrade and other important events abroad, getting the praise of Maestro Ennio Morricone.
Collaborated with “Nexus” Guitar Quartet recording some CDs, also with SONY.Several radio and television performances.
Teaching Experience: Classic guitar teacher in junior secondary schools since 1988. Currently teaching at “IC Ilaria Alpi” in Ladispoli, conducting and arranging pieces for guitar orchestra and getting several national and international awards.
Interests: Interested in progressive rock with experience as bass guitarist and guitarist with “Metamorfosi” progressive band, cutting three records – the last one, “Purgatorio”, displayed in October 2016 in Rome. Since 2008 dedicated to 10 strings guitar composing original pieces.
