On 21 February 2023, Annett Louisan enchanted her audience in the sold-out Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. The exceptional artist, who has been shaping the German music landscape for almost 20 years now, invited her audience that evening to experience a fantastically compiled cross-section of her work to date.
The artist, who has chosen to live in Hamburg, focused on her greatest hits such as "Das Spiel" and "Drück die 1" and new songs from her album "Babyblue", which will be released at the beginning of 2023. Together with an 8-piece orchestra, the grand dame of the German music scene staged her well-known hits and new songs in a way never heard before. The flawless interplay of artist and musicians on stage gave the audience a perfect evening in a simply incomparable ambience - and convinced from the first note. The magic and intimacy of this show, captured as the first live best of, is impressively demonstrated by these recordings: Annett Louisan is one of those artists who can reinvent herself again and again in a way that is both humorous and thoughtful.
After the release of her 10th studio album "Babyblue", which came out in February 2023, Annett Louisan now presents her first Best Of album - Live from the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. In 2004 Annett Louisan, now one of Germany's most successful musicians, became a star almost overnight with "Das Spiel". Not only the radio stations fell in love with the feather-light pop song. Der Spiegel", for example, wrote of a "little hymn to female self-confidence" and attested to Louisan's lyrics without the "embarrassment" so often immanent in German songs. The first album "Bohème" reached gold status after six weeks and platinum status after nine weeks, making it the fastest-selling debut album in German music history. Nine albums followed to date, all reaching the top chart regions. Over 1.5 million copies of their albums have been sold or streamed to date.
