"Jimi's wild and innovative guitar playing inspired me since I was 10 years old. I learned a lot from his playing ideas and techniques. But I created my own way, like Jimi did for his music. Because it makes no sense to copy the idol. I had much fun doing this recording for you and I hope you can hear it on every piece, even in every single note of this album. For the vocals I got additional inspirations from productions by Michael Jackson and David Bowie. So please enjoy a new look on Jimi’s everlasting beautiful music! Thank you for your open ear."

"I'm a fingerpicker. Every song on this album has a simultaneously played walking bass line even. That’s also in the solos. My education in the classical guitar was very helpful and layed the groundwork. But deep down in my heart I am a Blues musician like Jimi was. This sets the stage to support a lot of his inventions, like singing unisono scat lines or grasping special chords by using the thumb for the bass notes. I used all three different tunings for the guitars, which Jimi used for his extraordinary music. Thank you, Jimi, for giving us all ideas to kiss the sky."
