Info for Nuits Hongroises
Under the sign of the night and its charms, the young Arnold Trio, which has already received multiple awards, pays tribute to the music for string trio of the early 20th century in Hungary. "Transylvanian Nights", a score of rare quality by Bartók's student and friend László Lajtha, conjures up "the course of the seasons in the mountains and meadows of old Transylvania" in a newly invented folklore. An intermezzo by Kodály and the sparkling serenade by Dohnányi conclude the journey with the beguiling scent of the Austro-Hungarian Belle Époque.
