Info for Ode An Die Freude
„Ode an die Freude“ is the debut of Erna Rot, the new, bright light on the Indie-Jazz skies. Erna Rot was taught by German jazz stars Lisa Bassenge and Julia Hülsmann, inspired by Edith Piaf and Element of Crime, and reminds us of Brecht, Max Raabe and Rio Reiser. Still her music and lyrics are so much more than just a reference to all these names. Erna Rots picks from them whatever she needs and then puts it together again with her talented band. The result is a versatile and original mix of styles that perfectly complements the interesting, poetic lyrics.
