Info for The Prelude
Philadelphia, PA-based R&B sensation Pink Sweat$ has kicked off the summer with a new record "THE PRELUDE".
Back in February Pink Sweat$ was gearing up for the release of his debut album and gave the world “17” – one of the most beautiful love songs to date. In light of this year’s events Pink Sweat$ has decided to pivot and drop THE PRELUDE, featuring select records that preview his highly-anticipated debut album. “Not Alright,” the first official release from THE PRELUDE, communicates how Pink Sweat$ and many are feeling during these uneasy times. THE PRELUDE is slated to release on July 17th, 2020.
The rising star, who recently joined Atlantic Records’ legendary roster, released “Ride With Me” and “Cadillac Drive” both featured on Issa Rae’s acclaimed HBO series, Insecure (Season 4), the latter of which was also featured on the official Insecure soundtrack. Pink Sweat$ also recently collaborated with the talented Galantis and Ship Wrek, “Only A Fool.”
Pink Sweat$
is an artist/songwriter/producer from Philadelphia, PA. Pink's music is rooted in R&B and Soul, stripping back the typical genre-specific production to showcase melodic intricacy and lyrical prowess. He began making music at the age of 19 as a demo vocalist, and soon after found himself working at the legendary Sigma Sounds Studios where he began his career as a songwriter. After 7 years of working behind the scenes, Pink Sweat$ launched as a solo artist in July of 2018. The rapid rise of his debut EP Volume 1 has earned him recognition from the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Fader.
