Info for IN VERSES
Australian modern progressive titan’s Karnivool finally return with IN VERSES, the follow up to their globally respected, and Australian #1 charting album Asymmetry. Album 4 for the band has been so long coming it’s almost a myth, but after a false start or three and a long hot summer in the studio in Perth it is finally here. Teaming up with their kindred spirit producer Forrester Savell (Sound Awake, Themata) the band have crafted a musical masterpiece that somehow manages to feel fresh while referencing their much-loved back catalogue. Expanding the scope of their sprawling soundscapes whilst still managing to create moments that soar like only Karnivool songs can, IN VERSES proves in spades that even in todays world, some things are worth the wait.
Karnivool have sold over 300,000 albums globally, and have toured most places that will have them, being a firm fixture on the European festival circuit (Download, Rock Am Ring, Hellfest, Copenhell) as well as places as far flung as South Africa, India, Dubai and of course Australia.

Revolution is a chaotic and unbalanced affair. It challenges the state of things and, for those who revolt against the status quo, it bears both great risk and greater reward. These truths are as vital in art as they are in any other realm, and it is within these redefining forces that Australian hard-rock architects Karnivool thrive. With their acclaimed 2005 debut ‘Themata’ and 2009’s groundbreaking follow-up ‘Sound Awake’, Karnivool established themselves as one of the most vital forces in progressive modern music.
Karnivool belied expectation again with their third album, the brazen and introspective ‘Asymmetry’ released July 2013. This expansive work was designed in the band’s Perth studio over two years and recorded with legendary producer Nick DiDia (Rage Against The Machine, Mastodon) at Byron Bay’s Studios 301. ‘Asymmetry’ became their first #1 album, outselling all other artists combined in the Australian top ten and saw them pick up an ARIA award. It went on to be one of the most acclaimed albums of 2013, joining their previous albums with certified Platinum sales status.
The band spent most of the next two years playing to their ever-expanding global fanbase with shows from Melbourne to Moscow, Sofia to Sydney, Pune to Perth; highlights including a sold out headline show of 3000 capacity at the Roundhouse in London and their first ever gigs in South Africa. Upon returning to Western Australia, the all-consuming creative process of their fourth album with longtime collaborator Forrester Savell is now entering it’s final stages with results due... well, we will let you know. ‘All It Takes’ was a recent taste of new music, and new single ‘Drone’ is a clear indication that the fires are burning bright!
While working on the record Karnivool took moments to hit the road after finally getting to leave the country again in 2023. Their massive sold out Regeneration Tour wound its way throughout Europe with a little stop in Dubai on the way home. The Tri Continental Drift Tour in 2024 was their latest run with sold out Australian dates, European Festivals including Download and Hellfest, as well as a lightning run through India. Eyes peeled folks, Karnivool are bearing down on you once again, with some fresh musical treats in hand. We know we have said it before, but it’s closer than you think!
