Info for Love Endures
This is the first album by young pianist Tyler Henderson (born in Oneonta, New York, USA in 2001), who is active in the New York scene and has been featured on recent works by Jacob Chung (ts) and Ilya Osadchuk (b) (as well as the first album by up-and-coming singer Kieran Brown, which will be released soon), leading a piano trio. The songs are half standards and half originals.
The piano, with its delicate touch and natural feel, is a perfect combination of a graceful, smooth sound with moderate angularity and firmness. The vague shadows and clear clarity of the mist intertwine, but the basic style is a light and stylish melodic swing play that is based on the tradition of American-made, relaxing bluesy ballads, and is written in a relaxed tone that never strains. It is a charming piece that is full of elegance and a sophisticated feeling. The bass and drums provide a solid and stable support that accurately enhances the rhythm. The overall performance is a somewhat old-fashioned, human-interest, entertaining, bapish performance that unfolds with a gentle breath, and the deep, delicious content will give you a breath of relief and relax you.
The familiar pop feeling, the beauty of the melody, the regular rhythmic movement, the swaying and bouncing ride, the swing feeling are all important, and the sound space is always filled with an intimate, friendly mood and gentle warmth. The tender lyrical bop performance, which shows the ultimate in clarity, simplicity and straightness with an abundant blues feeling, is light, mellow, and simple. Firmly supported and inspired by the casually skilled and attentive backup of Tobockman (b) and Allen Barfield (ds), Henderson's (p) unique, stylish, witty, and tasteful improvisation technique, which is generally relaxed, is refreshing, gentle, tasty, and outstandingly refreshing. →He uses modal playing slightly in a few places as a transition, or as a turning point when he shows a heavy, dynamic swinging attack, but aside from that, there is almost no modal feel to the album overall, and although they are not similar, it is a cool, relaxed expression that is reminiscent of the likes of Shearing or Brubeck from the past, or, although they are not similar, earthy phrasing that is a toned-down, white version of the light funky playing of R. Garland or W. Kelly. The true, fresh value of this is particularly displayed in the refined, light, pure bop style of blues ditty that is unique to white people, and although this is New York jazz, it has a lively, smart, and unique style that is reminiscent of white West Coast jazz of the past, and is truly refreshing.

Tyler Henderson
began playing piano at age 5. He was inspired to play piano seriously upon hearing the work of famous pianists Bill Evans and Vince Guaraldi. Tyler then moved with his family to Houston, Texas, upon his acceptance into the prestigious High School For Performing and Visual Arts.
In Houston, Tyler had the pleasure of playing with Wynton Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis, Sean Jones, Don Braden, and was encouraged by masters such as Barry Harris, Javon Jackson, and Robert Glasper through his participation in incredible programs such as YoungArts and the Thelonious Monk Institute All-Star Tour.
He arrived in New York in 2019 to attend Juilliard, and was mentored by Ted Rosenthal and Geoffrey Keezer. While he was in school, he began working as a sideman with legendary musicians such as Joe Magnarelli, Bruce Harris, Rodney Green, and Grant Stewart.
He received his masters degree and currently collaborates with musicians at New York venues such as Smalls, Dizzy’s, the Django, and more.
He is recording his first album for the Cellar Live record label in the fall of 2024.
