Info for Corporation P.O.P
Hot Milk release their sophomore album, Corporation P.O.P via Music For Nations. Produced by Jim Shaw, Zach Jones and KJ Strock, the album offers the band at their heaviest with their raw, unapologetic lyrics which brim with unfiltered emotion. The record serves as part social commentary, showing the darker side to the world which they found themselves surrounded by when writing the record, all the while keeping their light, mocking humour throughout.
"While Hot Milk’s free-thinking vigour stems from and is directed at their own generation, their songwriting and production simply invites comparison with the best. Warehouse Salvation, all electro backing and robotic vocals, wants to turn into a rave but doesn’t, while Payment Of Pain rises dramatically from a largely synthesised background. It’ll be too much for some, but given time you realise it’s not just a step forward but a serious attempt at hyperspace hopping." (Steve Beebee, kerrang.com)
Hot Milk
Hot Milk
are an emo power-pop duel fronted band from Manchester, England. Jim and Han met in a bar in the Northern Quarter in 2016, became fast friends and have lived together ever since. What started over a bottle of wine and an acoustic guitar in their living room, whilst it pissed it down outside, quickly became their vice and way to survive through everyday life. The Manchester weather coupled with their persistent desire to fill a meaning-shaped hole meant that one song quickly turned into fifteen after running home from work during lunch breaks and staying up all night.
Singing sad songs with happy melodies, Hot Milk are a celebration of the real. With Fun, Family and Kindness at the forefront of their minds, Hot Milk hope to create an open and warm sphere where everyone is invited.
