This Thursday, Paris commemorated the 10th anniversary of the November 13 attacks during a large ceremony held at the memorial garden in the center of the capital. For the occasion, Jesse Hughes, lead singer of Eagles of Death Metal, Eddy de Pretto, and Jarvis Cocker paid tribute to the victims by performing songs such as "You'll Never Walk Alone" by Gerry and the Pacemakers and "L'absent" by Gilbert Bécaud.

Jesse Hughes, leader of Eagles of Death Metal, Jarvis Cocker of Pulp, Eddy de Pretto, and Axelle Saint-Cirel were present on Thursday at the new memorial garden, located on Place Saint-Gervais in Paris, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the November 13 attacks.

For the occasion, the City of Paris called onThierry Reboul, director of ceremonies for the Paris 2024 Games, to design and stage this official commemorative ceremony, andVictor Le Masne, the famous composer of the Olympic anthem. On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the musician unveiled a requiem entitled "Requiem des lumières " (Requiem ofLights ), performed by the Republican Guard Orchestra and the Radio France Choir.

The ceremony was also marked by the presence of several artists, includingJesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal, Jarvis Cockerof Pulp, Eddy de Pretto, Yarol Poupaud, and Axelle Saint-Cirel, who performed songs such as "You'll Never Walk Alone" by Gerry and the Pacemakers, "La Marseillaise," "Brothers in Arms" by Dire Straits, "L'absent" by Gilbert Bécaud, and "Shooting Stars" by Rival Sons.

These pre-recorded tracks (notably at the Ferber studiosin Paris) will be availabletothe general public from 8 p.m. this Thursday, thanks to the release of an album. Co-designed by Victor Le Masne and Thierry Reboul, this opus entitled "Fluctuat Nec Mergitur (November 13, 2015)" brings together all the songs created for this commemorative ceremony held at the memorial garden. It features French and international artists who performed at the tribute, united by a common message: that of remembrance and solidarity.

"This 10-track album embodies the spirit of rock with many original compositions by Victor Le Masne," according to a press release. Note that all proceeds from this album, available digitally on all platforms, will be donated to the victims' associations,Life for Paris and 13onze15.

"This album reflects our state of mind, a mixture of grief and hope. I would like to pay tribute to the Choir of the 13th, formed for the occasion by various associations, to Victor Le Masne, who delivers a poignant requiem, and to the artists who participated in this album," said Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo.
