Info for Piano Renaissance – Appassionato (version courte)

"A neoclassical musical journey through Quebec's rich cultural heritage" Piano Renaissance presents a series of exceptional concerts in stunning architectural masterpieces from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. Accompanied by his talented musicians, the world-class pianist Gregory Charles brings classical music to life, delivering a breathtaking and moving performance.

From a young age, Gregory Charles showcased his remarkable skills as a classical pianist, winning his first national competition at just 10 years old. After many years of touring and performing, he has come back to where it all began, rediscovering his love for classical music.

"Michelangelo's genius was known and recognized. I imagined a Michelangelo tortured by his desire to achieve perfection, truth and the absolute in a world he knew he might not be able to see or understand. I also imagined an intelligent, highly spiritual artist. I chose the tone of La Mineur to represent this piety." (Gregory Charles)
