It was hottest day of the year when most of the music presented here was recorded. The whole idea was hot – acoustic piano trio that gathered three musicians of impeccable reputation. It is a designer’s album that grew out of pure selfishness – I wanted to hear these guys play together! Countless times I shared stage with Alex, Martin and Vasil but never with three of them jointly. They’ve always been my first choice for bassist, pianist and drummer and our friendship both musical and private has been going on for years. So I decided to organize it, then sit in producer’s armchair and enjoy as they unveil their magic on stage. I hope you’ll agree – it’s nice to be selfish sometimes, in the right place and time, with the right kind of people, and with the perfect recording engineer and record label. (Toni Kitanovski)
