Info for Lazaretto

Jack White, who grew up in Detroit as the youngest of ten children and has lived in Nashville since 2005, is one of the most prolific and well-known US artists. When the White Stripes gave their first concerts in 1997, no one, least of all White, expected that a red and white one-man-one-woman band would soon conquer the mainstream world and that a hit like "Seven Nation Army" would become a worldwide football anthem. After further successes (including solo and with the Raconteurs, Dead Weather), nine Grammys and the founding of his own, very productive label (Third Man Records), Jack White releases his second solo album with "Lazaretto". The title track is also the single release. With the latter, Jack White set a world record: From the beginning of the recording to the pressing to the release of the single, less than four hours passed.

"Risky, but good - don't hold back!" (Rolling Stone)

"Great album from a great artist." (Stereo)

"... This has class: eleven traditional rock songs, full of jubilant or biting guitars, lyric pianos, happy scratching strings, yowling pedal steels, moogs, Rhodes pianos, exquisite songwriting and good sound." (stereoplay)
