Info for Le Petit Pianiste
A musical about the importance of artistic connection. A story of friendship and passing on knowledge between a rather unusual little boy and an elderly concert pianist. Adapted from the book and CD narrated by Guillaume Gallienne.
He is Pierrot, a lonely little boy who has stopped speaking since he started at the ‘grande école’, shunned by the other children. She is Martha, an elderly lady living alone with her dog, a retired concert pianist whose fingers have lost none of their virtuosity. It is music that will bring them together. A relationship of mutual support and deep understanding will develop between the two of them. Martha will introduce Pierrot to the piano. As the lessons progress, the boy will make this new language his own, and music will become his means of expression.
Words dance in his head to the rhythm of melodies by the great composers (Chopin, Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Liszt, Debussy….) which turn into songs. This story of intergenerational bond speaks to us of passing on knowledge, of the beauty of encountering others and the unknown, but also of the liberating virtues of opening oneself up to art. It challenges us to reflect on our ability to embrace difference and to love, to let light shine through every crack in our being.

Morgane Raoux
Through the association "Madame Clarinette," Morgane Raoux offers early childhood music workshops designed to help children discover musical concepts, develop their ears, and foster their artistic creativity from a very young age.
The goal goes beyond simply becoming familiar with various musical elements—such as pitch (high and low sounds), dynamics, tempo, and rhythm—to focus on internalizing the language of music and empowering children to "make" music naturally, right from the start.
This musical introduction takes the form of highly engaging group workshops, where children learn to play together and share the experience of discovering the language of music.
Working in a group is key, as it immediately helps children grasp that music is a language—a wonderful means of communication.
Olga Vassileva
Born in Russia, Olga Vassileva began her musical studies at a very early age in Kyiv and Moscow. She has performed as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles, and as a concerto soloist in Malta, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, the United States, and France. She has recorded a series of CDs and co-authored albums of songs for children, including "La musique en chantant" and "Les petits chanteurs" (published by Naïve). Olga Vassileva has also created several musical productions for children: "Morgane court la campagne", "L’immeuble de Morgane", and "Morgane fait ses gammes". She is the author of a poetry collection titled "Périphérique Est", published by Horizons Publications (ISBN 978-99957-38-11-2).
