Info for Ashes

TUNGSTEN are getting ready to unleash their fifth studio album entitled “Ashes”. Originally formed in 2016 by drummer Anders Johansson together with his sons Nick and Karl Johansson, TUNGSTEN soon solidified their lineup with the addition of lead vocalist Mike Andersson. Since then, the band has established a strong live reputation, touring extensively across Europe alongside acts such as Bloodbound, Firewind, Sonata Arctica, All For Metal and others. Between touring and live performances throughout 2025, Tungsten focused on writing material for their upcoming album, aiming to create a powerful follow-up to 2024’s The Grand Inferno. Entered the studio in late 2025, the band recorded the songs for “Ashes” and are now ready to unleash their next chapter. With “Ashes”, TUNGSTEN continue their crusade, delivering irresistible metal with anthemic choruses.

‘Ashes’ is a brilliant album that delivers catchy power metal with sophisticated songwriting and plenty of variety. This very distinctive ‘Tungsten power metal’ isn’t afraid to incorporate influences from other genres and create a symbiosis with them. Here, grand melodies are presented alongside powerful anthems and groovy power metal. The fifth album from the “Tungsten family” impressively continues the Swedes’ success story.” (metal-only.de)
