Info for Samâ
Anne Paceo presents tracks that beautifully complete her universe on her latest EP Samâ and the music reflects the joy of life and nature engaged in a perpetual dance.
In Arabic, Samâ is the sacred dance of the Sufi whirling dervishes. The music in the Samâ is considered to be intimately connected with the entire Cosmos, it is spiritual listening, it is being inside “the presence”.
The Samâ dance is the expression of that listening. It reflects joy of life, abundant life and nature, all engaged in a perpetual dance. The Dervish symbolizes the constant circular motion of the planets and of the cycle of life, and music, for its part, becomes the sonic expression of this law of the Universe.
