Musically, Thomas Kahn combines classic soul with influences from indie rock and reggae; his vocals recall Otis Redding and Lee Fields, enriched by modern arrangements. Thomas Kahn
a singer with a personal history full of intense emotions, is renowned for his unique vocal tone and his skills as a performer; deeply inspired by soul music, he finds in this genre the values of sharing, sensitivity and warmth, as well as stories of everyday life.

From 2013 to 2019, he devoted himself to composing, songwriting and performing, before quickly being dubbed the ‘Little Prince of Modern Soul’ by Rolling Stone magazine. Thomas Kahn then went on to support brilliant artists at the Olympia, La Cigale and the Bataclan – venues of great significance in his personal journey.

As a teenager, he learnt by imitating the intonations – and even the facial expressions – of performances of ‘Georgia on My Mind’, ‘Walk the Line’ and ‘Waiting in Vain’.

After a turbulent adolescence and studies that came to nothing, he drifted from one odd job to another, occasionally finding himself caught up in seedy or violent situations, which led him to refocus radically on what really mattered: music.

His voice is reminiscent of the spicy inflections of Otis Redding or Lee Fields, and when the storm subsides, it is Ben Harper who enters the listener’s imagination.

His musical world is also shaped by the reggae that helped forge Thomas Kahn’s identity: The Gladiators and their legendary bassist Clinton Fearon, Patrice, Toots and Ken Booth, whose voice and soulful spirit naturally align with the range of his own vocal training.
