“Obieglo” is the solo project of the songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and stage artist Andreas Obieglo.

With the concept album “Wasserzeichen”, Obieglo presents his new instrumental work: the Rhodes piano meets handcrafted electronic textures. The range of instruments is minimalist. Yet the space that Obieglo opens up is deep and vast. The music touches the very core of one’s being, telling of silence – and of its dissolution into sound.

‘Wasserzeichen’ plays with recurring motifs, related structures and tones. The pieces stand on their own whilst remaining closely connected to one another – like chapters of a larger whole. At times meditatively flowing, at others pulsating and expansive, a musical cycle emerges: emotional, atmospheric, timeless.

Particularly interesting: the 14 pieces have no conventional titles, but are numbered sequentially with Roman numerals. In a recent interview, Andi commented: “I wanted to avoid dictating a mood or a feeling through specific titles, and I find it much more exciting when images and emotions are allowed to unfold entirely individually for the listeners.”

Andi Obieglo
wurde am 26. April 1978 in Deggendorf geboren und wuchs in Schöllnach bei Deggendorf auf. Er besuchte das Music College in Regensburg und führte anschließend seine Ausbildung an der Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg fort. Dort studierte er Klavier, Komposition und elektronische Musikproduktion bei Tine Schneider, Eva-Maria May und Chris Beier. Der Multiinstrumentalist spielt Klavier, akustische und elektrische Gitarren, diverse Slide-Gitarren, Bass, Akkordeon, Geige und verschiedene Percussioninstrumente. Elektronische Sounds generiert Andi sowohl bei Konzerten als auch im Studio mit der Sequenzersoftware Ableton live.

Neben CAROLIN NO verwirklichte Andreas 2010 sein instrumentales Piano-Soloprojekt "Lieder", eine CD mit seinen Versionen alter Volkslieder. Im Winter 2012 veröffentlichte er mit Advent sein zweites Soloalbum, mit Interpretationen traditioneller Weihnachtslieder.
