Info for Akrobat
The title of Tango Transit’s new album “akrobat” awakes assosciations in many ways the same as the music itself does. Art, skills, play and technique are only a few terms that come to mind when describing the trios’ music. On their third album, the band (accordion, bass, drums) celebrates a unique musical variety and runs free.
Music lovers from different genres find access to the groups diversity. Compositions between Jazz, Tango and even tunes with a affinity towards pop (such as one of the few covers on the album: Pink Floyd’s “Brain Damage”) merge very well on this latest release of Tango Transit.
Tango nowadays has become more urban and World Music rather cosmopolitan. The group has successfully combined compositional diversity with versatile skills to create a sound of their own on “akrobat”.
Martin Wagner, accordion
Hanns Höhn, bass
Andreas Neubauer, drums
