Biography H-Blockx

H-Blockx
Since their debut album ‘Time to Move’ was released in the mid-90s, the rock band led by singer Henning Wehland has enjoyed huge success with hits such as ‘Risin' High’, ‘Little Girl’, “Move”, ‘Ring Of Fire’ and ‘How Do You Feel’ and has won awards such as the MTV Europe Music Award, Viva Cometen and various gold records. As a thank you to their fans, the band has now announced their live comeback for 2020 to mark their 30th anniversary on stage.

H-Blockx are one of Germany's most successful rock bands and live acts, who were considered an insider tip in the German rock scene early on after their formation. This is also proven by the chart position of their debut album ‘Time to Move’, which not only won the German Album of the Year award after 62 weeks in the charts, but also achieved gold status with over 750,000 copies sold. Other milestones include the soundtrack to the German-language cult action comedy ‘Bang Boom Bang – ein todsicheres Ding’ (Bang Boom Bang – a sure thing), released in 1999, which even earned the five Westphalians a brief appearance on the big screen, not to mention various US tours with renowned artists such as Eminem, Ice-T, Blink-182 and Biohazard.

Their latest album, ‘HBLX’, was released in 2012, and after the longest live hiatus in the band's history from 2015 to 2019, the Münster-based band will be back on stage across Germany in the summer of 2020 to celebrate their 30th anniversary. After a long break, fans will have the chance to see founding members Henning Wehland, Stephan ‘Gudze’ Hinz, Tim ‘Tinte’ Humpe and Steffen Wilmking, who has been a constant member of the band since 2003, live and feel the power that has made H-Blockx a veteran of the German music scene.
