Günther Groissböck
studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He was a member of the ensemble at the Vienna State Opera and the Zurich Opera House. He is a regular guest at opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, the Opéra national de Paris, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Semperoper Dresden, as well as at the opera houses in Chicago, Amsterdam, Rome, Madrid, and Barcelona, ​​and at the Salzburg and Bayreuth Festivals. His repertoire includes roles such as Heinrich the Fowler (Lohengrin), Landgrave Hermann (Tannhäuser), Veit Pogner (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), Baron Ochs (Der Rosenkavalier), Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Rocco (Fidelio), Kaspar (Der Freischütz), Philip II (Don Carlo), Ramfis (Aida), the Water Sprite (Rusalka), and the title role in Boris Godunov.
