Roberto Cascio
graduated in Lute at the Conservatory of Verona and the Royal College of London, is founder and director, in Bologna, of the Cappella Musicale di San Giacomo and of the theatre group Teatro Antico. Since 2015, he has been artistic director of the Microfestival di Musica Antica at the Cambonino Museum in Cremona.

He has numerous concerts and several recordings and publications to his credit. Among the latter is the complete works of Ippolito Ghezzi (Tactus), a 17th-century Augustinian, whose complete scores have also recently been published (Da Vinci Publishing).

Intermezzos, comedies, farces and sacred plays constitute the stage activity of the Cappella Musicale in collaboration with Teatro Antico.

From 2018 to 2021, he was one of the five members of the Executive Board of the Italian Lute Society.

In 2021, he received a letter of commendation from the Prior General of the Augustinian Order, Rome, for his work on the historical recovery of the music of the Augustinian fathers.
