Info for Louise Adams

Louise's self-titled debut album features re-recorded studio tracks of some of her incredible performances on the show including ‘Someone Like You’, and ‘You Don’t Own Me’ as well as her debut single, ‘History’. The album will also feature Louise’s standout performance of ‘Bang Bang’, the song that made her such a strong contender for the title early on in the Top 12 this year!

Louise describes herself as a late bloomer in the music industry. Before finding music, Louise worked as a lawyer. Blessed with a strong and distinctive voice, her style is an eclectic blend of blues, rock, soul and folk. She has developed a flair for writing original music and lyrics. Hailing from South Australia and currently living in Mount Gambier, this 31-year-old was immediately captivating at The X Factor auditions with a version of Nina Simone's ‘Feeling Good’.

Louise Adams
Originally from country town Kapunda in South Australia; Louise Adams' overwhelming and all encompassing vocals and gutsy performances are wowing audiences throughout Victoria, SA, NSW and as far as Colombia, UK and even fronting a New York blues band in their home city!

Her gift is a strong and powerfully feminine voice. At times gravelly, at others smooth, but always sending tingles down the spines of everyone in the room. She combines her distinct vocals with gutsy guitar melodies and her unique hand-made stomp box. Her flair for writing original music and lyrics, influenced by blues, country, folk and soul is surpassed only by her ability to win over a crowd; leaving them yearning for more.

Some have compared her voice to amazing female vocalists such as Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane), Janis Joplin, Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) and Patti Smith; compliments Louise will modestly brush aside, but nevertheless hold some truth.

Recent festival performances include, among others, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival (including as part of 'Andrew Clermont's The Supper Club'), Bendigo Blues & Roots Festival, Frances Folk Festival, Castlemaine Jazz Festival, Blenheim Music Festival, Arockolypse and Backwater Blues & Roots Festival.

Playing support for nationally and internationally acclaimed artists such as Mia Dyson, Boy & Bear, Jeff Lang, James Reyne, The Backsliders, The Audreys, Genevieve Chadwick, Saskwatch, The Timbers, Jay Hoad and Junior Bowles, and with the recent release of her debut self-titled EP , Louise is a performer making waves with her original sound and style!!

Don't miss the opportunity to experience Louise deliver her captivating performance; it's stripped back music, raw and unique. Louise Adams is a born performer not to be missed!
