"This project represents another great achievement after a 38-year career during which I have been able to range through many musical genres and have been fortunate enough to take part in great experiences.

Back Home is a representation of my life. The songs chosen represent the period of my musical adolescence. They are songs that I am fond of and that have shaped me both as a musician and as a man."

Maxx Furian
was born in Milan on 8 November 1966. His first approach to drums took place at the age of 10 when he began studying with the famous teacher Enrico Lucchini. Faithful to the jazz tradition, he develops various paths that lead him to become a real fusion drummer and to develop a strong personality, defined by himself a Drummer from the Liquid Groove. In 1993 Maxx moved to Los Angeles to study with Chad Wakerman. This experience will prove to be fundamental for his artistic inspiration. It also specializes in R&B, jazz and funk grooves. In March 2002 he participated in the Memorial Tribute to Jeff Porcaro in Koblenz, Germany. In the jazz field he has collaborated and still collaborates with Randy Brecker, Antonio Faraò, Mike Manieri, David Garfield, Paolo Birro, Federico Malaman, Alberto Bonacasa, Stefano Senni, Ada Rovatti, Jeff Berlin, Marco Micheli, Paolo Fresu, Janek Gwizdala, Bob Mintzer Othello Molineaux, Mauro Negri, Mattia Cigalini, Marco Ricci, Tullio Ricci, Alberto Tafuri, Michael Blake, Marco Micheli, Robert, Perico Sambeat, Mark Nightingale, Emanuele Cisi, Aldo Mella, Andrea Dulbecco, Enrico Rava, Furio Di Castri, Horacio " el negro "Hernandez, Mike Stern, Flavio Boltro, Sonny Taylor, Laura Fedele, Massimo Moriconi, Marco Bianchi, Gigi Ciffarelli, Christian Galvez, Bebo Ferra and many others. In 1992 he founded the jazz trio "Exploring" with which he participated in real festivals in Europe, recorded three albums and with a fourth cd in preparation. Another spectacular formation with which he plays is "La Drummeria" which features 5 high level drummers playing without other instruments. In 2010 he founded a "Timelin3" formation with Malaman and Bonacasa and Marco Scipione. Other recent projects are "Andrea Dulbecco Trio" (Tacchi, Furian), "The Thieves" (T. Ricci, M.
