„Invocations“ entstand, indem jedes Mitglied von Apollo5 Lieder von persönlicher Bedeutung auswählte, die dann von Fraser Wilson, einem befreundeten Komponisten und Pianisten, in neue Arrangements verwandelt wurden. Durch die Verflechtung beliebter Songs wie „And So It Goes“ von Billy Joel, Bill Withers' „Ain't No Sunshine“, „Your Song“ von Elton John und George und Ira Gershwins „Summertime“ mit Frasers frisch komponiertem Material ist ein aufregendes und stimmungsvolles Programm entstanden, das neu und originell ist – und doch seltsam vertraut. Das Projekt ist aus einer Produktion für das VOCES8-Festival »Live from London« hervorgegangen.
