Der in Birmingham geborene Alpesh Chauhan absolvierte am RNCM den Master’s Conducting Course. Er studierte bei Stanislaw Skrowaczewski und wurde von Andris Nelsons und Edward Gardner in seiner Funktion als Assistant Conductor des CBSO betreut. Alpesh ist u. a. stellvertretender Dirigent des BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra und tritt häufig auch als Gastdirigent mit renommierten internationalen Orchestern auf. Für sein Debüt bei CHANDOS hat er eine Sammlung von Tschaikowskys sinfonischen Fantasien sowie die Ouvertüre und die Polonaise aus der Oper Tscherewitschki ausgewählt.
