Die britischen Alternative-Rocker mit ihrem vierten Studioalbum. Alle Songs wurden im Nord-Londoner Stadtteil Seven Sisters geschrieben und im vergangenen Jahr mit Grammy-Gewinner und Hauptproducer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé) in Los Angeles aufgenommen. Mit "The Clearing" legen Wolf Alice eine maximal selbstbewusste Songsammlung vor, die vor Ehrgeiz, ungewöhnlichen Ideen und Emotion nur so zu strotzen scheint und die eindrucksvoll veranschaulicht, wo sich das UK-Quartett im Jahr 2025 soundtechnisch verortet. Wolf Alice
are an English alternative rock band from London, England. Formed in 2010 as an acoustic duo comprising of singer Ellie Rowsell and guitarist Joff Oddie, Wolf Alice have also featured bassist Theo Ellis and drummer Joel Amey since 2012.
In February 2015, the band released the lead single ‘Giant Peach’ from their gold-selling debut album My Love Is Cool, which was released in June 2015. It includes their 2014 single ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’, which peaked at number nine on US Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart in August 2015, and was nominated for the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance.
The band released their second gold-selling studio album Visions of a Life in September 2017, then their third gold-selling album Blue Weekend in June 2021. Their third album features singles ‘The Last Man On Earth’ and ‘Smile’, which reached number one in the UK Charts and was also nominated for the Mercury Prize. In fact, the band are one of only a small handful of artists to be nominated for the Mercury Prize for every single album they’ve released.
In 2022, Wolf Alice won the Brit Award for British Group.
