Delilah Holliday returns with her most ambitious and unflinching body of work to date. ‘Fat Cat’, her debut album, released August 28th via One Little Independent Records, is a new wave recession-pop concept record that interrogates grief, systemic inequality, and spiritual survival under late-stage capitalism.

Marking a significant moment in her evolution as an artist, ‘Fat Cat’ sees Delilah pushing her sound further without ever sacrificing the experimental, DIY edge and emotional depth that has defined her creatively her entire life, from her time in punk breakouts Skinny Girl Diet to her critically acclaimed 2023 ‘Invaluable’ mixtape.

Sonically, the album builds on the dreamlike, transportive qualities of her earlier work while pushing into a more refined pop framework. Downtempo electronics, trip-hop textures, and fractured hyper-pop drift between states of disorientation and clarity, balancing accessibility with antagonism. Collaboration plays a key role here; Raphael Ninot (Raph) emerges as a central creative partner, bringing an intensely personal level of commitment to producing the project, while Liam Howe (of Sneaker Pimps) elevated it while retaining its contemporary sound.

Downtempo electronic art-pop artist Delilah Holliday revels in otherworldly sounds and visuals that play with the abstract, psychedelic, and conceptual, though the lived experiences she draws from remain at the heart of her creativity. Growing up on Holloway Road and starting her creative journey with family members has shaped this, with a sense of community providing her foundation. Her band, Skinny Girl Diet, which she founded at age 14 with her sister Ursula and cousin Amelia, was a staple of the 2010s UK indie-punk scene. She later transitioned to her solo career with the release of her debut single, ‘Babylon’, in 2018. In a short time, she has collaborated with some of the best in both music and fashion, including Neneh Cherry, Vivienne Westwood, and Ghostpoet. In 2021 alone, she hosted a “Goddess Energy Experience” show at The Old Blue Last with Tyson and Grove, headlined St Pancras Old Church, partnered with Marshall Amps, and performed an exclusive A/V live session with FACT Magazine. Since 2016, she’s hosted her own monthly show on NTS Radio. She signed One Little Independent Records in 2023 and released the two EPs that make up her ‘Invaluable’ mixtape, followed by a track remix by Joe Goddard. 2025 sees her continue to fuse her various influences into something visceral and unique, as well as branching out with new collaborations and live shows.
