Mit diesem zweiten Band der Heiligen-Legenden setzt das Orchester Wiener Akademie unter der Leitung des Dirigenten und Organisten Martin Haselböck seine Einspielung der mystischen Werke Liszts fort. In den häufigen religiösen Phasen seines Lebens beschäftigte sich der Komponist mit dem Leben großer Märtyrer und Heiliger. Diese Werke, darunter zwei bisher unveröffentlichte Aufnahmen von „Jeanne d’arc au bûcher“ und „Die heilige Caecilia“, werden zusammen mit dem großartigen Gesangsensemble aus Sunhae Im, Stephanie Houtzeel, Sofia Vinnik und Thomas Hampson dargeboten.
