Da sich das Trio Pantoum bei der Namensgebung auf Ravel bezogen hat, liegt es nahe, dass der französische Komponist auch auf dem Programm der ersten Aufnahme des Ensembles steht. Die Musiker des Trio Pantoum wollen sich jedoch nicht auf eine einzige Ästhetik festlegen, sondern sich von ihrer Neugier leiten lassen und ein ebenso vielfältiges wie kontrastreiches Repertoire erkunden. Bei ihrem Debüt-Album setzen sie zahlreiche Akzente, indem sie ihre Lieblingspartitur mit dem etwas in Vergessenheit geratenen russischen Romantiker Anton Arensky und einer der neuen Figuren der tschechischen Musik, Miroslav Srnka, kombinieren.
