The lights, the songs and the lyrics both carry us and help us to connect with the reality we long for, the one we perceive beyond the illusions, beyond the apparent reality that wants us to believe that everything is complete, worthless, hopeless. Instead, the story wants to show that change is possible. Show that one image can be replaced with another image. One language is replaced by another. One worldview is replaced by another worldview. The God who was once able to separate the light from the darkness is still creating and it is the God who is now undoing power, honor and glory and for a moment lets himself fall right out of his perfection and down through all the seven heavens to extricate themselves to us humans. Hemsjökören
Hemsjö parish church choir - is a mixed choir with more than 50 members.

In addition to attending church services, the choir also has a more concert-oriented activity where they collaborate and sing along with various soloists and musicians. Examples include Lotta Engberg, Magnus Rosén, Hans Kennermark. John Kluge, Cindy Peters and Py Bäckman.

The choir performs works of various kinds, from the 16th century to the music of now living composers, such as the gospel fair Gloria and the folk music fair Välsignan and Fröjd. Over the years the choir has also visited the Nordic countries, Germany, Spain, Estonia, England, USA and others.
