Info zu Welcome Back
Collecting previously released singles 'Yamaha Dreaming', 'Keep Talking', 'Send Me Out' and 'Sky Writing', Welcome Back finds Fade Evare weaving together elements of trip-hop, pop and dance music across its 12 tracks. Recalling the likes of Massive Attack and The xx, the music at different points channels both melancholy and euphoria. Each song rhythmically pulsates, perfect for a post-club debrief, and soundtracking the embers of a night that'll live on long in your core group's memories. As Mira explains, the record arrives at an equilibrium which is simultaneously "very much looking inward, but also being appreciative of the people around you".

Fade Evare
Cast somewhere in the shadowy, liminal realms between reality and dreaming, Fade Evare are a Naarm/Melbourne electronic four-piece crafting what might best be described as post-club pop.
Cinematic yet low-key and redolent with the early hours, this is pop music for whatever comes after the club - whether that’s the hushed, charged Uber ride back to someone else’s, the quiet, meandering walk home alone, or the dimly-lit, low-slung conversation of a friend’s living room; not post-club pop but rather post-club pop.
Centred around 21-year-old frontwoman Mira Holleman, whose evocative vocals entwine with those of older brother and producer Tori Holleman, their dual voices floating over bold, bass-heavy arrangements and hypnotic beats, the outfit is rounded out by keyboardist Maddy Smith and Mitchell Post. (note: not sure what Mitchell does in the band, sorry! Please LMK)
Driven by Mira’s burgeoning perspective and moving seamlessly from bold, bass line-driven dance tracks to intimate balladry, the project reflects back the starry, wide-eyed discovery of youth - the soundtrack to a life in perpetual motion.
With dubby, trip hop-adjacent arrangements buoyed by enigmatic yet beguiling pop sensibilities, at the heart of Fade Evare’s sound lies a misty sense of yearning. The feeling is that of a faraway, atmospheric melancholy - not one dominated by gloom or malaise but suffused with neon vibrancy, like watching the incandescent blur of bright city lights rush past from a foggy, rain-flecked bus window, head immersed in thought, pressed idly against the glass.
It’s an ambience that is captured evocatively in the digital footage visuals of debut single ‘Yamaha Dreaming’, which, enigmatically uploaded to Bandcamp in late 2024 with little by the way of fanfare or traditional release, has gone on to attract support from the likes of Rhythm Section’s Bradley Zero, FBi Radio, 2SER, RRR and PBS FM. Having spent much of 2024 locked away in the studio, Fade Evare have been perfecting both their audio-visual live show, utilising custom software to sync lighting fixtures with their analog synths and drum machines in a multi-sensory experience for the audience.
