Mario Gangi (1923-2010) war einer der wichtigsten Fürsprecher der Gitarre im Italien des 20. Jahrhunderts. Er war nicht nur ein Künstler von Weltrang, sondern hat auch umfangreiche wissenschaftliche Arbeit geleistet, um die Veröffentlichung und Aufführung zeitgenössischer Gitarrenwerke zu fördern.

Gangis Kompositionen für Gitarre beschäftigen sich mit jedem denkbaren Aspekt der Gitarrentechnik wie z. B. Tonleitern, Arpeggien, repetierten Noten, Polyphonie oder dem Gebrauch des Daumens zum Melodiespiel.

Alessandro Minci
studied at the Conservatory of Music A. Casella of 'Aquila. Since 2000, he founded and is the Artistic Director of the Guitar Festival "Classical Notes" (International Guitar Festival City of Cassino) Here, he assembles International guitar competition "City of Cassino." In September 2005, Alessandro founded TRIO RHAPSODY with whom he published CD by the International label GUITART.
