Emmy Award winning composer/pianist Earl Rose is one of the most versatile and prolific composers working in film and television today. He is an Emmy Award winner and has received 14 Emmy nominations as well as three ASCAP Awards for being among the top five most performed composers in television. He has composed the score for American Masters’ Johnny Carson: King Of Late Night which will aired PBS.. Among his most recent project is the score for the acclaimed Peabody Award winning feature documentary, Inventing L.A.: The Chandlers And Their Times, which premiered at the 2009 Santa Barbara Film Festival. Earl’s original solo piano music can be heard in the Warner Bros. feature film, White Oleander. His film credits jazz flavored score for Mad Dog Time. He wrote the song arrangements for The Object Of My Affection , as well as original music for the film Gunshy and Joe & Max.

Seen performing an original composition, Earl was featured in the Garry Marshall directed film, New Year’s Eve. For this television season, Earl has composed selected music for Pan AM and Bored To Death. Other recent projects include scores for the HBO Special Hard Times for an American Girl: The Great Depression as well as being guest pianist with Elvis Costello, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert on A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All. Among his television scores are the TCM Emmy winning documentary Stardust: The Betty Davis Story and A&E Biography: James Woods. In addition, he has written the music for A&E’s In The Shadow Of Cold Mountain, the History Channel's eight part mini-series The Presidents, and composed songs/music featured in such hit series as NBC's ER, The West Wing and Who Wants To Marry My Dad, HBO’s Sex And The City, UPN's America's Next Top Model and Oxygen’s The Bad Girls Club and MTV’s Real World.

Among Earl’s 14 Emmy nominations are his songs, which have crossed over into major pop recording successes. These include the multi-platinum selling recording Every Beat of My Heart, co-written and recorded by Brian McKnight. His Emmy winning song collaboration with Olivia Newton-John and Victoria Shaw, Love Is A Gift, appears on both Olivia Newton-John’s quadruple platinum “live” recording, Highlights from The Main Event, as well as her studio album, Back With A Heart. Other hits include I Found Love, co-written and recorded by top-selling artist Peabo Bryson and All For The Sake Of Love, co-written and recorded by country singer Victoria Shaw. The legendary Johnny Mathis has recorded two of Earl’s songs, Every Beat of My Heart and Right From The Heart.
