Nach einer längeren Pause sind Thrice zurück und machen sich bereit für ihr neuntes Album. Frisch aus dem Studio mit Eric Palmquist, präsentiert das Orange County Quartett mit Stolz 'To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere', das am 27. Mai 2016 via BMG/Vagrant veröffentlicht wird. Thrice behaupten sich seit über 15 Jahren in der Alternative/Modern-Rock Welt. Die Band ist bekannt dafür, scheinbar mühelos und ununterbrochen bahnbrechende Alben zu veröffentlichen, mehr als eine Millionen Platten haben sie bisher verkauft und tourten schon mit Weltstars wie den Deftones, Coheed & Cambria, Rise Against, Circa Survive und Brand New.Thrice veröffentlichten 2001 mit Identity Crisis ihr erstes richtiges Studioalbum und stürmten damit an die Spitze der Indie-Musik, umjubelt von ihren Hörern, welche die Band als eine Art Kult feierten. In den folgenden Jahren veröffentlichte die Band sieben weitere hoch gelobte Alben ? darunter die Favoriten der Fans The Illusion Of Safety (2002), The Artist In The Ambulance (2003) und Vheissu (2005), das brillante und ausgewählte vierteilige Konzept-Album The Alchemy Index: Fire and Water (2007) und Earth and Air (2008), das emotionale raue Meisterwerk Beggars (2009) und das vom Grunge inspirierte Nachfolgealbum Major/Minor (2011).

Thrice sind zurück. „To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere“ heißt das neue Album, mit dem sie beweisen, dass sie 2016 so gut zusammenwirken wie immer – vielleicht sogar besser als vorher. Das Alternative-Comeback des Jahres.

Thrice
is an American rock band from Irvine, California. The group was founded in 1998 by guitarist/vocalist Dustin Kensrue and guitarist Teppei Teranishi while they were in high school.

Early in their career, the band was known for fast, hard music based in heavily distorted guitars, prominent lead guitar lines, and frequent changes in complex time signatures.' This style is exemplified on their second album, The Illusion of Safety (2002) and their third album The Artist in the Ambulance (2003). Their fourth album Vheissu (2005) made significant changes by incorporating computerized beats, keyboards, and effects into songs that were often slower and less technically difficult. Their fifth effort was a quadruple album entitled The Alchemy Index (2007/2008), released as two sets of two CDs that together make a 4-part, 24-song cycle. Each of the four 6-song EPs of the Alchemy Index features significantly different styles, based on different aspects of the band's musical aesthetic which reflect the elemental themes of fire, water, air and earth, both lyrically and musically.

Throughout the band's career, Thrice has been known to donate proceeds from album sales to charitable or non-profit organizations, including novelist Dave Eggers's charity 826 Valencia, which promotes literacy and aids teens with creative writing. In return, Eggers created the cover art for Vheissu.
