Pietro Paris
Born in Perugia in 1984, he started studying electric bass and double bass with Daniele Mencarelli and Daniele Roccato. In 2005 Pietro got a bachelor degree in Physics and after that he decided to dedicate himself full time to music.

In Siena Jazz University he had the chance to learn and play with many important musicians of the international and Italian jazz scene: Gilad Hekselman, Kenny Werner, Walter Smith III, Marcus Gilmore, Matt Mitchell e Lage Lund, getting the bachelor degree in 2018. ​

In these years Pietro performed with many bands in many important jazz festivals and jazz venues: Grey Cat Jazz Festival, Gubbio No Borders, Terni in Jazz, Casa del Jazz, Gezziamoci a Matera, Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival, JazzIt Festival, Budapest Music Center, Italian Culture Institute of Paris, Conservatorium Van Amsterdam and Aaron Copland Music School of New York. ​

In 2017 he was a finalist in the Conad Jazz Contest during Umbria Jazz Festival with the band “The Sycamore”. ​

In 2017 with “Krak’s Action” worked together with the world renown clarinet player David Krakauer during Chigiana International Festival. ​

In 2019 has been released "Seamless", the first album from "The Sycamore", published by Emme Record Label. ​

In 2020 won the "Artist in Residence" endorsed by Midj (the Italian Association for Jazz Musicians) that consists in an artistic residency of a month in Lisbon, Portugal.
