Riccardo Schwartz
Celebrated pianist, Riccardo Schwartz has had the privilege of performing as a soloist with many world-renowned conductors, among them Gustav Kuhn and Yuri Temirkanov. His acclaimed performances include recitals and concertos for piano and orchestra in many prestigious concert halls including Sala Verdi in Milan, Konzerthaus in Bolzano, Tiroler Festspiele Erl in Austria, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Regio in Parma, and Salle Gaveau in Paris.

Called “a pianist of brilliant future for the strength of his pianistic construction and a rare ability of concentration...” by Euterpe Venezia, Mr. Schwartz recently performed the complete Piano Sonatas by Beethoven in an eight-recital-series. The performances, in Milan and Gorizia, received much acclaim. NordEst News noted of the series, “The interpretations...were of the highest level, the pianist was acclaimed with a loud and long applause by the enthusiastic public...Schwartz was required to sign autographs by most of the people present, as a memory of a spectacularly beautiful cycle of concerts (the 32 Beethoven’s Sonatas).” The same Beethoven-Sonata-Series is now programmed for next season in Turin as well.

Schwartz was born in Milan in 1986 and completed his studies at Conservatorio of Milan with Riccardo Risaliti, Leonardo Leonardi and Annibale Rebaudengo. After graduating with Honorable Mention he continued at the Accademia Pianistica of Imola, graduating with a degree in performance. His style has been most influenced by pianists such as Joaquin Soriano, Boris Petrushansky, Paul Badura-Skoda and Louis Lortie.

Schwartz strives to evoke the soul of every composer he plays, focusing on technical perfection, and enlightening the heart of every person listening. Invited by Gustav Kuhn, Riccardo Schwartz is also member of the Accademia di Montegral.
